Jess found a yoga practice at 14 years old. In 2009, she completed her first yoga teacher training and most recently, as of July 2016 has completed her Moksha Yoga Teacher training.
She is a certified instructor of Hatha yoga, children’s yoga, pre-natal yoga, seniors’ yoga, Yin, and Moksha! She has practiced many forms and styles of yoga over the years, but Moksha is her home.
The underlying philosophy of Moksha’s accessibility is very important in Jess’ own practice and teachings. She feels very fortunate to have worked as a teacher and a support worker for people with special needs and believes strongly in celebrating our differences and modifying a class to suit every person’s needs and abilities.
Jess’ approach to children’s yoga classes is thematic in her life: Sometimes we need to calm our minds and just breathe, but sometimes we need a little bit of silliness too. These classes are the perfect mixture of proper alignment, breath, games, music, and animal noises.
